By booking your course with Viking Medical Ltd you agree as ‘the client’ to be bound by these terms and conditions.

1. Invoices payable in full within ten (10) working days of invoice date and prior to course delivery.

2. Course fees are payable in full regardless of learner attendance, e.g. course for 6 learners where 2 learners fail to attend will be charged at the rate for 6 learners.

3. Course cancellations by the client to be notified as soon as possible and at a minimum of ten (10) working days notice otherwise full fees are payable.

4. Cancellations by Viking Medical Ltd will be notified to the client as soon as possible and every effort will be made to reschedule courses within three (3) calendar months from the original course date. Where a course cannot be rescheduled within three (3) calendar months the client will be given the option of a full refund for that course.

5. The client will provide a suitable venue and will be liable for all parking charges incurred by Viking Medical Ltd. Due to the amount of equipment involved parking must be available for at least one (1) large estate type car for the duration of the course. If you do not have access to a suitable venue, please discuss this with Viking Medical Ltd as we may be able to suggest venues to which we have access.

6. Viking Medical Ltd staff will require access to the venue at least thirty (30) minutes before and after the scheduled start and end times for the course.

7. The client will provide an emergency contact telephone number for the course organiser.

8. All learners must attend for the full duration of the course in order to achieve certification.

9. Learner feedback on the course will be made available to the event organiser by Viking Medical Ltd upon request.

10. The client will allow access to the venue to assessors from ITC First conducting External Quality Assurance visits and spot-checks which may be unannounced.

11. At Viking Medical Ltd we believe that first aid training should be fun and safe. Therefore, inappropriate, insulting or abusive language or behaviour towards Viking Medical Ltd staff or other learners will not be tolerated. Such incidents will be challenged by Viking Medical Trainers and where they cannot be resolved a learner may be asked to leave the course and refused certification. All such incidents will be reported to the client to facilitate appropriate management action.

12. All learners must be physically capable of carrying out skills demonstrations in order to show competence and achieve certification. Learners must be able to stand, sit, kneel and lie on the floor. Learners must also be prepared to touch one another as appropriate during skills demonstrations e.g. rolling another learner into the recovery position, applying a dressing to another learner or conducting a top to toe survey of another learner while looking for injuries.

13. All learners need to wear appropriate clothing that will allow them to take an active part in the course and demonstrate competence in the required skills. As such, clothing should allow freedom of movement without overexposure of a learner that may cause offence or embarrassment to other learners and staff. Viking Medical Staff reserve the right to ask learners who are inappropriately dressed to leave the course and any such incidents will be referred to the client for appropriate management action.

14. At Viking Medical Ltd we pride ourselves on delivering high quality training that meets the needs of our clients and learners in a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment. Should there be any specific reasonable adjustments required by a learner then the appropriate Reasonable Adjustments Request Form must be completed and returned to Viking Medical Ltd at least seven (7) working days prior to the start of the course. This will allow Viking Medical Ltd to make appropriate adjustments in a timely manner and facilitate all learners towards achieving certification.

15. Where a learner does not meet the assessment requirements of the course and does not achieve certification, Viking Medical Ltd will provide a referral plan that makes clear the assessment criteria required and how these may be achieved in a timely manner that complies with the conditions of the awarding body (ITC First). Further training or courses will be at cost to the client.

16.Hard copy certificates will be delivered to the client/event organiser for distribution to individual learners. Where certificates are required to be sent to individual learners by Viking Medical Ltd there may be a small charge to cover postage costs.

17. The client will inform Viking Medical Ltd of any specific security requirements at the training venue at least seven (7) days in advance of the course so that any required actions can be taken in a timely manner e.g. providing vehicle details or identification documents for trainers.

We look forward to delivering your course!
